As for Athletics, Tulane boasts one of the oldest and most storied athletic programs in the Southeast and one of the most comprehensive collegiate sports programs in the country. Whether you are competing or cheering on the Green Wave, athletics are an integral part of life at Tulane. With a 14-sport program that competes in Conference USA in all sports, Tulane Athletics is on the rise on the field, the court, the course and the track. Tulane fields eight women’s and six men’s teams. By the 2011-12 academic calendar, Tulane will host 16 sports, the same number carried before Hurricane Katrina.
